Peter is beyond tired and his plans to sleep in all day were canceled the moment he got a very last minute call from Tony telling him he had to go to some science conference with him for a mission. That was at five in the morning and it was now just after nine in the morning.
"Do I have to be here? I feel like I'd be more use back at the hotel." Peter gripes at Happy who decided to drag him out to the conference hall to get sign ins and badges taken care of a full twenty four hours before the conference actually started.
"Don't get mouthy." Happy snaps at him, filling out all the registration forms. "You're an intern right? You gotta do intern stuff."
"Can't I do intern stuff later? You know, after a nap?" He was in Queens less than five hours ago.
"No. It's your own fault for staying up late, kid. And Tony wants you to meet the featured scientist. There're supposed to be here in fifteen minutes." Peter would normally be pretty excited about meeting new scientist but right now he just wanted sleep.
"And then can we go back to the hotel?" He asks, taking the name badge when Happy hands him his.

New Students weren't a new thing for Midtown High. It was an extremely well known STEM school and there were new people every year. This year was a little different though because they'd been approved to offer off campus boarding for students who lived a little further than midtown. Peter had briefly looked into it but he was quick to discover that his scholarship stipend would not cover it and opted to keep his usual route which involved the subway. It was probably better that way anyway. He didn't need anyone else discovering he's Spider-Man.
However, that didn't save him from being contacted by Principal Morita himself with a request that he join the student welcome committee which was just a group of students that were to act as tour guide and show the new students around the school. He was promised it would look good on his college resume and if there was something Peter could do to help earn himself a scholarship he was going to do it.

Except that the other student that was asked to act as a tour guide was none other then Flash Thompson. 10 November 2021 17:11All things considered, a portal in new york wasn't the weirdest thing. It wasn't even the first time it happened. It was, however, usually a bad sign so of course Peter had to swing in and look into it. Tony had yet to tell him not to so he had precious little time before he was disobeying.
He landed nearby in his signature spider-crouch and squinted at the form that was dropped by the portal It looked like... a girl?
"What the Hell?" The portal closed before he had time to look at it too closely and he rolled his eyes because of course it did. "...Uh-Ma'am?" His voice squeaked a little and cleared his throat.
"Ma'am?" He tried again, this time a little louder.

Gifted Intellect: Peter Parker is an exceptionally smart science enthusiast, capable of inventing and constructing his own web-shooters (the sophistication of which impressed Tony Stark) and using the laws of physics to his advantage in a battle as Spider-Man.
Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Spider-Man is a relatively skilled fighter at both close and long distances. However, he does not seem to be skilled in martial arts, and instead fights instinctively. He emphasizes the use of his speed, agility and his spider webs, which he uses as a non-lethal weapon.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Used to be an asthmatic but now he seems to be doing just fine.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Peter's usually pretty chill but there's been a few tragedies in his life so he might clam up if talking about his Parents or his Uncle.

MENTAL: He can't really stop it but he's pretty strong mentally so he'll at least try to resist doing something he knows he doesn't want to.
MIMICRY: Probably pretty difficult considering the Spider-powers. Peter probably wouldn't like it much but also question why someone would want to impersonate him.

Peter wanted to be the first person to go on record and say he didn't like this plan. There were about a thousand ways anyone could screw up this very sensitive and very delicate mission and he's Peter Parker. The kid that accidentally handed over military grade technology over to lunatic. Why exactly was he being trusted with this.
"Are you listening to me, Parker?" Nick Fury snapped him back to attention and he nodded with wide eyes because he wasn't listening-he was panicking and imagining the worst outcome because that's what he was best at.
"Yeah-Yes. Of course. I turn the thing-get the-the deal and comeback." Fury gave him a look and Peter shrank back a little. "Uh-I was-I was paraphrasing." He muttered. Fury started to hand him the time travel watch and Peter strapped it onto his wrist. He was still convinced this was a terrible mistake but he wasn't going to pass up a chance to travel in time.
"Remember-it's of vital importance that Stark doesn't catch you-or catch on to what you're there for. Do you understand." He asked as Peter was punching in the coordinates he was given-except that he typo'd the coordinates at the shock of the statement. His stomach dropped to the floor as he realized just how impossible this mission might be. Who was the last person to steal from Tony Stark and him NOT know about it? He it the 'go button' and soon after found himself outside of what looked like a more dystopian version of Stark Industries.
"Uh oh." Peter glanced down at the wrist watch and noticed the year was 2021. "This... is bad." He says out loud.
