Peter is beyond tired and his plans to sleep in all day were canceled the moment he got a very last minute call from Tony telling him he had to go to some science conference with him for a mission. That was at five in the morning and it was now just after nine in the morning.

"Do I have to be here? I feel like I'd be more use back at the hotel." Peter gripes at Happy who decided to drag him out to the conference hall to get sign ins and badges taken care of a full twenty four hours before the conference actually started.

"Don't get mouthy." Happy snaps at him, filling out all the registration forms. "You're an intern right? You gotta do intern stuff."

"Can't I do intern stuff later? You know, after a nap?" He was in Queens less than five hours ago.

"No. It's your own fault for staying up late, kid. And Tony wants you to meet the featured scientist. There're supposed to be here in fifteen minutes." Peter would normally be pretty excited about meeting new scientist but right now he just wanted sleep.

"And then can we go back to the hotel?" He asks, taking the name badge when Happy hands him his.

Who're You Gonna Call?

New Students weren't a new thing for Midtown High. It was an extremely well known STEM school and there were new people every year. This year was a little different though because they'd been approved to offer off campus boarding for students who lived a little further than midtown. Peter had briefly looked into it but he was quick to discover that his scholarship stipend would not cover it and opted to keep his usual route which involved the subway. It was probably better that way anyway. He didn't need anyone else discovering he's Spider-Man.

However, that didn't save him from being contacted by Principal Morita himself with a request that he join the student welcome committee which was just a group of students that were to act as tour guide and show the new students around the school. He was promised it would look good on his college resume and if there was something Peter could do to help earn himself a scholarship he was going to do it.

Except that the other student that was asked to act as a tour guide was none other then Flash Thompson. He got to the building at ten ten (fifteen minutes after he was supposed to), saw Flash standing by front doors and thought: 'Yeah, this seems about right.' Flash looked up at Peter approached and rolled his eyes.

"Great. Now I've gotta do this with Penis Parker." He groaned. Peter sucked in a breath. He wasn't exactly thrilled with the arrangements either but he had exactly five minutes to get over himself and the new students would arrive.

"You couldn't even be here on time, why would Morita choose you?" Flash asked. Peter shrugged.

"Beeeecause I have the highest grade point average?" Peter pointed out. "At least, that's the reason he gave me. Sounds fake, really." Flash shot him a look.

"Whatever. I'm giving this tour, you keep your mouth shut or your dead." Flash threatened. Peter's lips thinned and he just nodded. That was gonna be a little hard for him but he wasn't up to challenging Flash this early in the morning. It was just a quick tour of the school with Flash and then he could leave and go do something else until school started tomorrow.

All things considered, a portal in new york wasn't the weirdest thing. It wasn't even the first time it happened. It was, however, usually a bad sign so of course Peter had to swing in and look into it. Tony had yet to tell him not to so he had precious little time before he was disobeying.

He landed nearby in his signature spider-crouch and squinted at the form that was dropped by the portal It looked like... a girl?

"What the Hell?" The portal closed before he had time to look at it too closely and he rolled his eyes because of course it did. "...Uh-Ma'am?" His voice squeaked a little and cleared his throat.

"Ma'am?" He tried again, this time a little louder.

DEMEANOR: He fidgets a lot. Mostly with his sleeves, he'll tap his fingertips together and over all seems to be the embodiment of an awkward teenager.

ABILITIES: His powers are not capped at this time.

Spider Physiology: Spider-Man possesses the proportionate powers of a spider. The bite triggered numerous body-wide mutagenic changes within Parker, granting him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities. Superhuman Strength: Peter possesses the proportionate strength of a spider, enabling him to lift more than the weight of a car. There is footage of him stopping a car moving at 40 mph before hefting it aloft. He was also able to catch and support a collapsing jet bridge.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Spider-Man's enhanced metabolism allows him a much faster and extensive recuperation rate than normal humans. After his fight with Vulture, the large scars and burns on his body healed up in a matter of hours.

Gifted Intellect: Peter Parker is an exceptionally smart science enthusiast, capable of inventing and constructing his own web-shooters (the sophistication of which impressed Tony Stark) and using the laws of physics to his advantage in a battle as Spider-Man.

Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Spider-Man is a relatively skilled fighter at both close and long distances. However, he does not seem to be skilled in martial arts, and instead fights instinctively. He emphasizes the use of his speed, agility and his spider webs, which he uses as a non-lethal weapon.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Used to be an asthmatic but now he seems to be doing just fine.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Peter's usually pretty chill but there's been a few tragedies in his life so he might clam up if talking about his Parents or his Uncle.

IC PERMISSIONS
MENTAL: He can't really stop it but he's pretty strong mentally so he'll at least try to resist doing something he knows he doesn't want to.

MIMICRY: Probably pretty difficult considering the Spider-powers. Peter probably wouldn't like it much but also question why someone would want to impersonate him.

VIOLENCE: This I generally like to leave to a die roll or RNG. Peter's not perfect and he makes mistakes which can be exploited.

MAGIC: He cannot use magic and magic does work on him.

DEBATE: Absolutely.

PSL: Peter Parker Accidentally causes a Paradox

Peter wanted to be the first person to go on record and say he didn't like this plan. There were about a thousand ways anyone could screw up this very sensitive and very delicate mission and he's Peter Parker. The kid that accidentally handed over military grade technology over to lunatic. Why exactly was he being trusted with this.

"Are you listening to me, Parker?" Nick Fury snapped him back to attention and he nodded with wide eyes because he wasn't listening-he was panicking and imagining the worst outcome because that's what he was best at.

"Yeah-Yes. Of course. I turn the thing-get the-the deal and comeback." Fury gave him a look and Peter shrank back a little. "Uh-I was-I was paraphrasing." He muttered. Fury started to hand him the time travel watch and Peter strapped it onto his wrist. He was still convinced this was a terrible mistake but he wasn't going to pass up a chance to travel in time.

"Remember-it's of vital importance that Stark doesn't catch you-or catch on to what you're there for. Do you understand." He asked as Peter was punching in the coordinates he was given-except that he typo'd the coordinates at the shock of the statement. His stomach dropped to the floor as he realized just how impossible this mission might be. Who was the last person to steal from Tony Stark and him NOT know about it? He it the 'go button' and soon after found himself outside of what looked like a more dystopian version of Stark Industries.

"Uh oh." Peter glanced down at the wrist watch and noticed the year was 2021. "This... is bad." He says out loud.

[ guess who’s using his camera phone again? This time he’s outside and pointing the phone up at a building with the words ‘Midtown School of Science and Technology’ on the front. ]

You’re sure you want to go to a school this far away? I barely got you out of bed this morning. [ Ben is laughing at him. Peter can be heard yawning and then whips the camera over to his uncle. ]

Shh… I don’t want that on this video. This is a good first day of school, Uncle Ben. Flash isn’t here-I have a scholarship. Things are actually looking up for me, Peter Parker.

Right, a good first day. When in the history of first days has that happened? [ Ben laughs and is clearly joking. ]

You gotta keep trying, right? And did you hear me? No Flash! There’s no way I can have a bad day! No Asthma attacks, no family emergencies, no randomly getting sick. All science all the time. I am so ready for this.

you’re recording, aren’t you? It’s August twenty-eighth and Peter’s first day of his freshman year and he almost slept through it.

We thought it was time since you’re going to be going to school all the way in Midtown.

Yeah, yeah. That makes sense. Oh my god. I really have a phone. It takes pictures and records and everything!

Oh my god! I got a scholarship to Midtown Tech! I can’t wait! I don’t have to go to school with Flash anymore! I get to go to school with my people!

May and Ben are ordering pizza tonight and we’re doing movies to celebrate! This is so awesome. Gotta go! But Scholarship! Flash-free school!

[ Younger Peter returns looking much healthier than the last time he was on screen but he does have a black eyes and he’s soaked. ]

So uh… we went on a field trip today to coney island and it didn’t go well. It rained for one so like… most of the rides were closed because of weather conditions. Got in an accident on the go-karts-totally not my fault by the way-but somehow I fell out? Ate pavement and the next thing I know I’m in the infirmary waiting on Ben to come get me.

Anyways, I bruised my ribs. Had to go to the ER for like… the fourth time this year? At least school’s almost out-not that I can really go for the next few days. Guess I’ll just sit around and read or something. I probably can’t almost get killed doing that, right?

So… I got sick.

[ Young Peter is back on the screen, in a thick sweater and looking like death warmed over, his curly hair more of a mess than before and looking more like a mop on his head. ]

My temperature got up really high and I can’t go back to school for like a week. Which I guess is fine? School’s boring anyways and at least I’ll be away from Flash.

Anyways, I don’t know why I’m recording this-maybe to remind my future self that getting sick sucks. Which I’m sure I still know.

My fever got really close to 106 and Aunt May freaked and I think I passed out. Well, it’s all good now aside from the house arrest. I was gonna see if she’d take me to the library but I don’t know that I could.

Anyways, this is Peter Parker, signing off. Hopefully I won’t be dying next time. [ He stops recording. ]

So… I fixed this thing and then left it. Anyways, it’s christmas now and we’re about to have dinner. Just May, Ben and Me. But that’s fine-but look!

[ he grabs the laptop and it shakes as he picks it up and carries it up some stairs and then into the living room to point the camera at the thing he’s excited about. ]

I just got a new bike! Not one from the thrift shop! An honest to god- [ He’s cut off by voices upstairs. ]

I can’t believe you’re so upset about this. It’s not like the bike was that expensive-it was on sale. [ Unlce Ben from the last video could be heard from another room. ]

I’m not upset, Ben. I’m just not sure-he just had another asthma attack. Are you sure this is a good idea? We haven’t even gotten the bill from the ER yet.

Don’t worry about it May, my insurance will cover it. Just let the kid have a bike. [ Ben assures her. And that’s all the conversation on the video because Peter stops recording by means of closing the laptop. ]
